Understanding the Impact on the Survivor and Families
Suicide attempts leave lasting emotional, relational, and psychological impacts—both for those who survive and for the families and professionals who walk beside them. This session invites participants into a compassionate and trauma-informed dialogue about what life looks like after an attempt, focusing on healing, safety, and connection.
Through personal narrative, clinical insight, and reflective discussion, learners will explore the complexities of post-attempt recovery, including the stigma survivors face, the family’s experience of fear and grief, and strategies for rebuilding trust and resilience.
This webinar is designed for clinicians, social workers, counselors, and peer professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of trauma-informed approaches to assessment, dialogue, and postvention care.
