Kassie Powell, LCSW, CCTS-I

Kassie brings six years of diverse social work experience, including foster care, case management, and both individual and group therapy, all centered on trauma. Prior to this, she spent seven years as a swim coach, where she honed her skills in fostering social and emotional learning in children. Specializing in trauma, anxiety, and depression, as well as providing therapy for fellow therapists, Kassie employs CBT, DBT, and solution-focused approaches in her practice, working with clients aged 18 to 100.

Aimee Rachel, LMSW, CHWI

Aimee is a dedicated trauma informed care trainer, curriculum developer, and quality improvement specialist with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health and social services. She specializes in creating empathetic, supportive, efficient environments. Aimee provides training and consultation to organizations seeking to enhance their understanding and response to trauma. Her approach integrates the latest research in trauma theory with practical strategies for implementing trauma informed practices. Aimee is known for her engaging workshops, inquiry based teaching style, and commitment to empowering organizations to better support individuals impacted by trauma.

Jacqueline is a licensed professional counselor with a passion for fostering resilience and healing in individuals facing mental health challenges. With over 5 years of experience, she specializes in leading general mental health groups and providing trauma-focused individual therapy.

Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New Mexico State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Development. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Existential Theory and has a Person Centered approach to help clients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

When not in session, Jacqueline enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, hot yoga, and spending time with friends and family, which further enrich her understanding of the human experience and the journey toward well-being.

Katlin Parsons, LCSW

Katlin Parsons is a dedicated therapist with a passion for helping individuals navigate their unique journeys toward healing and growth. With extensive experience in both psychotherapy and leadership, Katlin offers a compassionate and non-judgmental space for clients of all ages, from adolescents to seniors. She specialize in a wide range of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, personality disorders, substance use and more.

 As an EMDR-trained therapist, Katlin integrates this powerful method into her practice to help clients process trauma and achieve lasting change. Katlin has a unique ability to meet you where you are at and ensure you are utilizing the right therapeutic tool for you. Kaitlin believes in the resilience of the human spirit and is committed to supporting you every step of the way.

Christina Cheser, LCSW

Christina is a holistic therapist dedicated to fostering growth, resilience, and self-empowerment in individuals navigating their mental health journeys. She integrates her expertise in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), spirituality, and energy psychology to support clients in developing emotional regulation, self-awareness, and a deep sense of personal agency.

With a trauma-informed and intersectional approach, Christina specializes in group and individual therapy for survivors of sexual trauma and relationship abuse, as well as those facing complex identity and self-esteem challenges. She is particularly passionate about working with military veterans and their families, LGBTQ+ individuals, and multiracial clients, creating a safe and affirming space where all identities and experiences are honored.

Christina creates a compassionate and inclusive environment where she believes in guiding individuals to reconnect with their authentic selves and explore what a meaningful, fulfilling life looks like for them.

Outside of her work, Christina enjoys drawing and singing, cherishes time with her cats and loved ones, and enjoys story-focused video games that explore themes of morality, identity, relationships, and personal growth.

Individual and Group Therapist

John Ammon

John holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas (2025) and a Bachelor’s from Stephen F. Austin State University (2022). He works with individuals navigating substance use and general mental health concerns, blending Gestalt therapy with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

John’s approach emphasizes present-moment awareness, emotion regulation, and values‑based action. He centers+ the mind–body connection and mindfulness, helping clients observe thoughts, sensations, and urges with curiosity rather than judgment. He also attends to how language shapes motivation, cravings, and self‑perception in recovery. In sessions clients develop grounding skills, strengthen resilience, and clarify what truly matters so they can move toward a more fulfilling life.

Outside of work John experiments with new recipes, plays with his two cats, and re‑watches Avatar: The Last Airbender. John is also a big movie and music fan and enjoys exchanging favorites. He looks forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.

Ebonie N. Brown, MSW

Ebonie N. Brown is a multiple suicide survivor turned Hope Dealer, public speaker, and passionate advocate for mental health and suicide prevention. As a Master of Social Worker, she combines her lived experience with professional training to amplify conversations around mental health and suicidology particularly within minoritized and faith-based communities.
With a background in Public Affairs and Community Service from the University of North Texas and a Certification in Culinary Arts from Texas State Technical College, Ebonie brings a unique, holistic perspective to mental wellness and suicide prevention. She is a certified QPR Trainer and holds certifications in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid. Her experience as a Peer-to-Peer Instructor, Ending the Silence Presenter, and In Our Own Voice Presenter with NAMI North Texas has positioned her as a trusted voice in mental health and suicide education and advocacy.
Ebonie seeks to creates a space where open, raw, and transformative conversations about mental health, resilience, and healing take center stage. Her mission is to break stigmas, equip Individuals with knowledge and resources, and promote culturally competent mental health support and suicidology.

Trainer and Group Facilitator

Trauma-Informed Massage Therapy

Max provides client-led, nervous-system-informed massage focused on body awareness and therapeutic, pain‑relieving outcomes. His practice centers on the mind–body connection and how stress and trauma affect overall wellbeing. Max trained at the Massage Institute of North Texas and completed over 570 hours of massage education.

Max strives to create a safe, affirming space where clients can feel at home in their bodies and collaborate on their healing goals. His modalities include Swedish massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Cupping, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Max also provides post‑operative lymphatic massage following cosmetic and gender‑affirming surgeries.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Max is pursuing NASM Personal Training certification with an emphasis on nutrition and corrective exercise, and is completing coursework in grief massage. These additional skills support clients in building strength, addressing compensation patterns, and achieving long‑term goals.

Mike Adams, LMT

Mike Adams is a healthcare professional with 32 years of experience in clinical care. He completed massage therapy training at the Institute of Bodywork Studies in 2016 and brings a strong nursing background—10 years as a nurse aide followed by 21 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Mike practices a holistic approach to healing that integrates therapeutic massage, yoga, and nutrition-focused gardening. He empowers clients through education, targeted exercise, and evidence-informed self-care strategies to support recovery and long‑term wellness.

His clinical specialties include Swedish and sports massage, cupping, and assisted stretching with applied compression. A longtime Denton resident, Mike is active in the local community and enjoys painting, gardening and landscaping, yoga, camping, and spending time with family.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Based in Dallas, Radhika is a certified yoga instructor with over a decade of personal practice and 4+ years of teaching experience, specializing in prenatal, postnatal, and fertility‑focused yoga to support women’s health at every stage. Using mindful movement, breathwork, and gentle flows, Radhika guides individuals to build strength, find calm, and deepen their mind‑body connection. Since 2025 she has supported more than 70 women—those trying to conceive, pregnant mamas, and new mothers—helping them prepare for safer, smoother deliveries while nurturing their wellbeing every step of the way.

Charlie Grimm

Charlie is a Marriage and Family Therapy intern, certified mediator, and university student working towards his MFT licensure. He holds a philosophically oriented and scientifically grounded approach to the therapeutic process in order to derive meaning and construct personal narratives for those who want to understand themselves. His systemic approach to therapy stems from his belief that people are a product of their environment, as well as how they interact within it. His experience with diverse populations and their equally diverse challenges provides him with a well-rounded perspective on life and all that it throws at you. Combining the exploratory and artistic approaches of the powerful classic psychologist with the modern, all-encompassing framework of contemporary therapy, Charlie aims to create a unique process for a wide variety of clients in a way that suits them best.

Outside of the therapy room, Charlie enjoys painting, writing music, reading pulp-fiction, riding his old but trustworthy bike, playing with his dogs, hiking in the woods, contemplating the human condition, attempting to understand metaphysics, and playing overly-complicated and story-driven strategy video games.
